Did you ever watch the movie “Super Size me?”

I just looked it up on IMBD.  That website says that it came out in 2004.  I didn’t realize it was that long ago.  I figured I watched it around 2008-2009.

Thesis of the movie is this.  Fairly normal weight and height guy decides to eat McDonalds every single day for thirty days.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner.  He has a close connection with his doctor to test throughout the entire duration of the study.  I won’t bore you with the specifics of exact weight gains and how out of shape the main character got.  At one point in the movie the doctor pleaded with Morgan (main character) to quit his experiment.

I must have lost sight or memory of this movie.  Around 6-8 weeks ago I bought some Pop-tarts at the grocery store.  I remembered how good they tasted.  I bought a case.  There are three boxes in each case and eight packages in each box.  I ate the entire case and bought another.  I started feeling a little sluggish and could definitely see a weight change.  Eating the last package about a week ago I decided I got way off course.

The reason I got way off course?  I hadn’t really laid a course out.

So I did what felt good.  The worst part is when eating unhealthy food, is that the good feeling only last while you are eating the that food.  All of the time after that can turn to misery.  That guilt is visual too.  You can see that area of your body that looks puffy or enlarged, or “hey I didn’t realize I had fat there.”

So now that I had that revelation during the last box I bought what am I going to do about it?

I’m going to “Stop it.”  (Watch the funny clip so you’ll get the inside joke.)

Follow my journey from, “Crap I’m out of shape” to…What should we call it?….. “Awesome shape?”
